Cat Grooming Services

We offer a range of services tailored to suit your cat’s needs. Specialist care and attention is given to your cat on a one to one basis in our small cat grooming room by Jodie who has completed her iPET Level 3 award in an Introduction to Cat Grooming.
The health and wellbeing of your cat during its visit will be our top priority. Details of any medical conditions (and also their behaviour!) must be disclosed during our initial meeting and logged on our client information form. Stress levels will be monitored and health checks will be carried out throughout their stay with breaks if needed. Grooms are taken at the cat’s pace, a rough collection time will be given but it really is dependent on them. If the cat becomes overly stressed and/or aggressive, the groom will be stopped and the owner will be called to collect.
Not all services will be suitable for all cats, so please speak to us about your cat’s needs and we will be able to advise how we can help.
Brush out & De-shed
Short Haired cats benefit from professional grooming too. It’s amazing how much dead hair comes out of a cat with such short hair! Our de-shedding service uses specialist tools and techniques to gently remove the unwanted dead hair, skin, dust and debri from the coat. Not only will this help the coat to look better, the cat will feel better too.
Long Haired cats often require professional help to manage their coats and prevent matting. Our brush and de-shed service includes a thorough brush and comb of the coat, removing any trapped dead hair and tangles that are starting to form. Any tight matting found will require clipping out to prevent unnecessary pain and discomfort. If extensive matting is found, a lion clip will be advised.

Lion Clip
If a cat has become extensively matted, for whatever reason, the kindest and safest option is to clip the cat short all over and let the hair grow back. For safety reasons, short blades must be used. Where possible, we leave the mane, tail and booties giving your cat that bit of style.

Bath and Blow-Dry
Yes, some cats do enjoy a bath! And it has great benefits to the skin and coat.
As well as thoroughly cleaning the coat and skin, the bathing and blow-drying process greatly improves the process of removing all of the trapped dead hair, debri and dead skin. It will also loosen any tangles making them easier to gently comb out.
High quality, natural cat shampoo is used and a blow dryer is chosen carefully to suit the cat’s temperament. A ‘happy hood’ is used to help muffle the noise of the dryers making the drying process calming and relaxing for most cats.

Claw Clipping
It’s important to keep an eye on the length of your cat’s claws as they grow at different rates depending on their age and lifestyle. The claws of ageing cats are often overgrown, thick and brittle and will need to be clipped more often.
Claw clipping is usually a fairly quick and easy job that can be done as a stand alone service whilst you wait, or included as standard if booked in for a groom.
Eye and Ear Care
As well as claw clipping, eye and ear care is included as standard with all of our grooms.
